A. Meyer-Lindenberg: President Elect of the DGPPN (German Association for Psychiatry,
Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics).

S. Herpertz: Call for a W3-Professorship for Cognitive Neuropsychiatry  Profile:

transdiagnostic, domaine-oriented research on multidimensional  symptom modelling and identificaction of neuroimaging biomarkers (status: has passed university committees, currently for final decision at Ministry of Science, Research, & Art B.W.)

C. Wolf: Robert Christian Wolf declined the offer of a full professorship (W2) for “Translational Psychiatry” at Philipps-University, Marburg.

Dr. Schultebraucks is planned as Mercator fellow in the DFG-funded GRK 2350 on the impact of early trauma on psychosocial and somatic health. She uses machine learning for the identification of early risk factors and the prediction of long-term mental problems (e.g. PTSD symptoms). She has also investigated alternative methods for psychiatric diagnosis and symptom-monitoring with a focus on “digital biomarkers”: using pre-trained neural networks she identifies predicitive signals by automatically extracting information such as facial expressions, voice pitch and speech content from video recordings.

 

Dr. Weierstall-Pust will hold a honorary professorship to broaden the spectrum in the field of trauma-related psychotherapy and aggression research. He is an expert on psychotraumatology and the dissemination of evidence-based treatments for trauma victims in post-conflict regions worldwide as well as in refugee populations in Germany. He is known for his research on the interaction of severe trauma and appetitive aggression as well for his experience in developing and teaching new psychotherapy approaches in the trauma field.
